FREE HTML Course for Teachers, Students and Schools

This free course is created to allow teachers (or students) to develop a basic page for their classroom or school without the fear associated with internet technology. If your school or classroom does not have a web page, this site can help you get started.

The course contains very basic lessons. You should have success with every lesson... in only 15-30 minutes. The lessons are short but productive. Each lesson will builds on the others. This page and following pages are built in very basic HTML that will be taught. It is easy to develop your skills as the course progresses including. . . changing the size, color, and face of the fonts (letters) . . . adding FREE cool moving pictures, like the dots above and the arrows below . . . creating tables . . . adding images . . . basic web design . . . and more!

There are no grades, no homework . . . the only thing required is a desire to learn. This is a very basic course for the novice. It will not be as much benefit to the advanced HTML user.

IMPORTANT:

Please, get help locally if you don't understand how to save a file in Windows or on a Mac. Saving files is a very basic necessity in understanding computers. If you haven't master that, you may have trouble with this course. As your files, always end the file name in ".html", this is required on the WWW (World Wide Web). Also, DO NOT leave any spaces within the file name.

Do not go to the next lesson until you have completely mastered the concepts of each lesson. Concepts will build on each other. You'll be making basic pages in no time.

Rome.com was not built in a day. Persistence is the key to learning. Try to learn something new every day.
